Rose Quartz: What's Not To Love?

Rose quartz has always been a stone that people from all backgrounds are drawn to; men, women, children, monks, artists, healers, etc. With its rose-like and pinkish hue, as well as its white and clear colored accents, this mineral makes for beautiful jewelry.

Within the earth's crust, quartz is actually the second most abundant mineral. This meaning that there is quartz all around us, therefore making it quite affordable to anyone looking to buy it in artisan jewelry, or otherwise.

Rose quartz is often shaped, into: hearts, oval stones, Buddhist characters, etc. A majority of the quartz pieces come from within Brazil, but it has also been mined in areas like that of Maine.

Rose quartz is said to also have healing properties pertaining mainly to: love, compassion, and the heart chakra. Also know as the 'love stone', it can relate to all areas of love within one's life. This may include, but is not limited to: romantic relationships, love within friendship and self-love.

The stone is also said to bring about compassion and raise self-esteem. In relation to these thought properties, rose quartz, in turn allows for a love, more full, in all angles of life; and an openness to allowing love's energy to enter the soul.

Physically, rose quartz is said to having healing properties that relate to one's circulation, focusing on that of the heart and heart chakra. Some women choose to wear rose quartz when pregnant, as it is seen to be protective during childbirth. Others choose to wear the rose stone just for its mere beauty.
